Keeps you dry but…..

From:  Age: 45-54 Gender: Female
Jacket does his job by keeping you dry but does not keep you warm. That’s an easy fix, long sleeve flannel shirt. I love this jacket.

Not just rain gear - but OUTSIDE cold weather gear

From: Saint Joseph, MO Age: 45-54 Gender: Male
Around 15 years ago, when this jacket and pants were called Shoreline, I had a set. I used them hard - I climbed telephone poles, worked in pits full of mud, worked in the rain, snowstorms, ice storms, and subzero windy days. My set was 3XL tall, they were intentionally big (I normally need a 2XL Tall) so I could wear them over my Charhartt bibs and parka. I used them every day from November through March for three years. They were still in good shape. I moved to inside work and passed them on to a friend that was still working outside. I moved to a small acreage recently and there's work to do outside, I ordered another set! I do wish the new version still had suspenders on the pants, but the new set seems to be as tough as the old set.

It's a good jacket just not for winter

From:  Age: 65+ Gender: Male
I sent it back right away. I was looking for a winter jacket without an attached hood. This one is basically a heavy rain coat. It's not gonna cut it for an Upper Michigan winter. I understand that you guys want to put out new products but you should still make the original jackets from the 80s and 90s. Those were the greatest jackets and they held up for years. They were what me and everyone I knew wore every day. And bring back the side tabs. Like what some of your other reviewers have said not everyone is overweight or has a beer gut. Those classic jackets got you where you are. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I ended up getting the extreme jacket even though it has an unremovable hood. I really don't want a hood but I do want to be warm and dry.

I have not worn the new one on an all-day driving rain, but if it is anything like my ancient Carhartt I expect to get 10 years of hard use out of it. Thanks so much for the military discount.

Large in size

From: Syr, NY Age: 20-24 Gender: Male
The jacket runs a little large. It does say loose fit. We got a medium but should have gotten a small.

Great product, very durable, and very comfortable!

From:  Age: 55-64 Gender: Male
Love this jacket. Bought this one to replace my old Storm Defender jacket. The last one lasted 5 years used heavily when I was a field mechanic. Best rain gear I've ever owned.
