I can't believe Carhartt would drop the J001 unwashed Detroit Duck Jacket. I have been wearing this jacket for 35 plus years. It is what sold me on Carhartt. Now I have to chase around to find a jacket tough enough to hold up to the briars I have to walk through for work. Whoever is making decisions for Charhartt these days has lost sight of what made them a name synonymous with tough work clothes. The latest in the Carhartt line I cannot get anymore.

Had the ones made in usa .they were great just got the new one piece of well you know .total junk sewing was cheap.. zipper is a whimpy joke .what happen to made in the usa? Last time i will buy carhartt .the company sold out to cheap shit

This is the best jacket, bought it for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves it. Works out in the snow and rain with it and it's held up great. I wanted to buy him another but I guess they're discontinuing it, super bummed to hear, it's a classic!

Since Carhartt has discontinued this jacket, I was happy to find one. It was listed as a second, but I can't find a defect. This is a good durable coat that I can plan on wearing for years.

Coat looks great and fits true to size, but is a little boxy. Hopefully will take on a more natural shape as it wears in. Works good if you wear a tool belt at work. Definitely not a winter coat unless you layer up with a shirt and hoodie/sweatshirt. Not thrilled that it's made in Nicaragua instead of USA and we will see if the quality is as good as my last Made in America Detroit coat. There were quite a few loose threads and suspect stitching when I first bought it. Still on the fence about the longer flap in the rear as reduces access to pouches on back of tool belt/pockets. Be advised that sleeves have quilted lining and not blanket lining like the old ones, which is a nice change as old blanket lining was itchy if only wearing a tshirt.
