The Carhartt Mitt stood up to to temps at or near freezing, with windchill the temps were below freezing, and my hands did not get cold. I am impressed with the look, the durability, and more importantly how the mitt dries. I walk and my hands sweat, so my concern is the mitt wouldn't dry. I've worn the mitts several times and the next day they are dry.
