This is the 2nd pair that I’ve bought in 2.5 years. The only problem I’ve had with them is the sole cracked.

It's hard to write a review for boots, that I expect to last for years, only two weeks after receiving them. But...I will review Carhartt in general: Carhartt clothing is a little more spendy than alot of other clothing, but it also performs better. It is less spendy than some brand names and, by the way, it still performs better [than most]. So...my conclusion on these boots is that they should last a good long time and take alot of abuse.

I’ve always liked carhartt boots. This pair however is tight across the top of my foot for some reason. Got the same size I’ve always got. But I the more I wear them they are getting a little better. Still like my carhartt boots

Inner sole

From: Goshen, OH Age: 55-64 Gender: Male
In less than two years my left inner sole comes lose and keeps my foot from coming out of the boot. The right is fine. The overall functions of the boots are good but his left boot is a real pain when trying to take it off.

Just received the Carhartt CMP1100 boots...

From: Plymouth, MI Age: 45-54 Gender: Male
First, fast shipping, I really appreciate that, Dungarees delivers! The boots, well packaged, arrived via UPS. Size, 11W, both boots match. Quality seems very good for a boot at this price point, but I wonder about the soles of the boot. I have seen these crack just in front of the arch where your foot flexes (Other reviews from "that" site), that would be my only concern, and only time will tell. The sole material actually is a bit soft, I can see where they would be good in slippery conditions, they have some give to them, not rock hard and easy on the feet. Break in time should be minimal at best, as the soles are flexible and the leather is rather soft and supple. Very happy. The welt, it appears to use a nice heavy nylon or other synthetic thread, very nicely sewn and looks of good quality. The foot bed, very comfortable, just enough arch support on the included insole. The leather itself is very nice on the boots, no flaws or imperfections. The color is just a shade darker than the photo, not a big deal to me. The boot shaft is made of what looks like the standard brown duck material they use on their jackets, just a little heavier weight and darker. It is nice, and I can see where it would become more flexible as the boots wear in. The boot straps, they look solid, one solid piece of leather and stitched on. The shaft and boot are insulated, not too much, but enough for comfortable winter wear as a truck driver or an active outdoor worker. Not a summer boot. The exterior heel guard, I can see where it will help protect the boot. It is sewn on so hopefully it will last the lifetime of the boot itself. I cannot feel it back there, it is rather flexible and more for the protection of the boot as far as I can figure. I guess it does stiffen up the heel area, and does not interfere with the boot in regards to comfort. The fit, I slid my foot right in, my heel fit nicely, not to tight or lose. The one issue I had, but has since gone away, was a bit of a bite across the top of my foot, but after wearing for a few hours the bite went away. My foot slips right in, and with little effort slides right out. Now don't get me wrong, the boot is not loose, my heel was pretty well locked in with little if any side to side play of my foot, it was a nice snug fit, not annoyingly snug, comfortably snug. The insulation... I just hope it lasts and does not tear itself away from the boot interior like my Timberland Rig boots did. That really sucks. Well, that is it, only time will tell with these, and so far, I am very happy with my purchase, I'll be keeping these. If any issues, I will report back.
