Got them for trapping, working around the property not hard all day beatings. Little tight putting on but I have wide foot. Bought them 1/2 size to big for the room .the ankle to bottom of the calf is not loose nor to tight just snug enough so my heel don't slip and slide up and or around much. I'd compare it to my cowboy boots but with a little more space for my toes and foot to move.
