Not really 1000g insulate, just 600g supposed to "feel like" 1000g. However, husband did not want to return , the boots went on easy and provide proper ortho support. He did say the plastic got a bit cold during work, but he does like this boot . He always wears the most highest quality work boot and these are acceptable.
