Carhartt's Duck Chore coat is a legend. The bi-swing back enhances movement on the job or off. The blanket lining is great for layering on cold winter days, yet light enough to be worn in the early fall.

  • 12-ounce, firm-hand, 100%-ring-spun cotton duck
  • Blanket lining in body, quilted-nylon lining in sleeves
  • Corduroy-trimmed collar with under-collar snaps for optional hood
  • Button-front closure
  • Two rivet-reinforced chest pockets

Strange sleeve length.

I usually get XL in a coat. L in this coat was plenty big and the sleeves seem like they belonged on a man with 6" longer arms. I like the pleating in the back to allow for freedom of arm movement, the material is stiff but should hold up against abrasion.

Factory 2nd better than most brands 1st quality!

Still looking to see what may have been considered a factory 2nd. Jacket is perfect! Color, stitching, lining, alignment, collar and cuffs, no issues. Pockets are warm and slightly lined, material takes the hard chafing of brush removal and tree trimming. Blanket lining is very comfortable and warm. In nearly every other brand I wear a Lager Tall, but the Medium Tall fits perfectly. 6’3”, 220lb.An excellent purchase at any price.

You get more than what you pay for!

This jacket does run on the large size. Was gifted this Chore Coat over Christmas and found it perfect for heavy layering with hoodies and additional base layers, with room to add more. So I ordered another one, a size down in the "tall" again, but in the brown color this time. You just can't beat the quality deals that Dungarees offers, and a Carhartt product speaks to this very point, even if in a factory second.

A Classic Discontinued

I initially bought the c001 in medium which fits 2 sizes way big like a xl. I gave it away to a friend and then tried getting it in a small but to no avail. Not one to be found online new anywhere!!! That's when I found out Carharrt had discontinued the c001. So I then ordered the new chore coat in small and it fits like a large which is my size so perfect!. Still I wanted the c001 So from time to time I check online hoping to find a small. One day out of the blue Carharrt had the c001 back in stock in a small. Which I ordered and finally have now. It's a real shame the classic chore coat c001 is a thing of the past now. Why??

WHY IS THIS BEING DISCONTINUED ?!?

The code says it all - C001, the first coat Carhartt ever made. I have been wearing a dark brown one for 20 yrs, just wore out my 3rd one and now I find I can not replace it. Same with the classic B25 work shorts. Stop with the new lightweight made in China crap and get back to making the tried and true originals in America. PS The closest thing I could find to the chore coat was from another brand, so you lost a sale

Perfect work coat

Been wanting one for years, finally found one on sale. Just like others have stated, the size does run larger than normal. I normally wear large but I purchased a medium and it fit perfectly.

I find the sleeves are a little bit long, covers my hand too much.
