I gave these gloves to my son-in-law who does a lot of work on roofs and chimneys. He stated that they were comfortable and warm and no busted knuckles.

FORM FITTING with EXCELLENT DEXTERITY. Bought these for hiking/climbing the Billy Goat Trail in Maryland, near Washington DC. The name says it all. It's a multi-hour scramble up-over-down-and-between large jagged boulders high above the Potomac River. These gloves provided a PRECISION FIT, just the right combination of GLIDE and GRIP, and HIGHLY FLEXIBLE BODY ARMOUR throughout the adventure. Just warm enough for a cool start, yet ventilated enough for the more aggressive portions in the sun without overheating. I have long, slender hands and long fingers - women's size 7 1/2 dress glove - and the Size SMALL FIT PERFECTLY, was easy to secure, and stayed put for the duration with no fuss. My husband wears a men's large, and that fit perfectly as well. I'd exhaustively searched specialty stores; nothing they had even came close. Cardhardtt may not be the first place one would look for hiking/climbing gear - but wow - this glove really delivered. I'll be checking Carhardt first for outdoor gear from now on.
