chilly index fingers

During extreme cold weather here in MN this glove was in general keeping my hands warm. However my index and middle fingers were a little bit cold. These gloves could use a bit more insulation over that part of the hand. Also, the inner moisture barrier left my hands feeling clammy. For a glove this thick I still had good dexterity.

I have used these for two winter seasons now. I find them to be quite durable for the cost and flexible enough to wear while working. The gauntlet helps to keep hands warm and dry. I will continue to use them for chore work on our farm.

Let me just start by saying that Carhartt should be embarrassed by this product. I went ahead and ordered the gloves blindly without seeing them in person because of how impressed I have always been with previous purchases. I'll just get to the point and describe exactly what you get when you buy these gloves. They are filled with just enough insulation to give the appearance of a warm glove. When you put them on you immediately know that there is next to nothing in them. Secondly, the shell is made out of extremely thin fleece that if used for hunting would tear you're first time out. And third, the stitching is a joke. Now look, I am still a Carhartt fan and always will be, but if your going to put good products out there then don't compromise your name for a few easy bucks.
