Actual Arctic socks - Heavy and warm

I purchased all 3 models of Carhartt Arctic-type socks to do a comparison. The other two models are the A111 and A700. These are by far the best of the 3, not only the warmest by far, but most well-constructed as well. The material on the A700 is so light in comparison, it should be labeled as a cold fall weather, certainly not 'arctic'.

I wear an 11 4E shoe. Most "large" socks simply aren't. I got these in "Extra Large" and fit perfectly. If you have a longer foot, but not as wide, they should also be just right. They didn't shrink to doll size after washing and drying. Why "arctic" socks in Scottsdale, Arizona? I wear them as house slippers in colder weather.
