These are the best lightweight snow pants ever created. Husband works outside in winter but also has to get back in equipment and these pants he has put through the test and they have lasted. Please don’t ever discontinue these!!!

Loose fit is too loose on Storm Defender for a 6??, 180 pound male. M is better.

I like the pants. Here??s my tip to the next wearer: I order, normally, I Carhartt pants , 34 waist/30 length or 34/32. These Storm pants in L are really too big, a bit to floppy. I??ve been wearing the as ski pants, a good application. I also use the Carhartt bib overalls (about the same price, $125) as ski pants and motorcycle pants, the same way I??ll plan to use these. Also as foul-weather gear on my sail boat. I??d like these a bit better if they came in something less Loose-Fit.

I practice Russian martial arts year round here in western Oregon in the mud and rain, and this is the first outfit I??ve had that left me dry and comfortable! I like the double layered nylon that breathes on the upper half just above the knees which makes it great for tactical maneuvering like rolling around and doing kicks.
As far as farm work, I??m not sure the nylon will hold up to the blackberries, and I wouldn??t take the chance with the high cost of these rain pants. But good ol?? classic Charhartt B11s do the job just fine and they don??t get torn up if you don??t mind getting a little wet.
I was impressed how light weight these heavy duty rain pants are and how they??re nice and loose so you could wear sweat pants or thermals under them if you??re up North. I just wear them with regular boxer briefs and socks and I didn??t get sticky or too sweaty feeling after doing intense martial arts.
Can??t wait till next month to buy the heavy weight jacket!
Recommend wearing with Free Soldier tactical boots.
