Carhartt 104221 - Women's Rain Defender® Coat

My employer provided us with some outdoor gear (and it is mostly quality gear). I have a work raincoat I bought and yes, I sweat everywhere when I wear it. Our work supplied raincoats are a heavier than this rain coat (brand name). I bought this Carhartt raincoat bc it was on clearance & bc I liked how it looked. It is not a heavy raincoat and the material is breathable so you don’t sweat like many other raincoats. I don’t think it would withstand extremely heavy downpours and would eventually become saturated, but I have worn it during typical rainstorms without any issues. The material is lightweight and there is a mesh layer inside the coat. There are Velcro strips on the sleeves. I bought a larger size bc I wear some work gear underneath and don’t like it to be so tight and snug on me. It is true to its size bc without my work clothes…it’s just a bit loose on me & I bought it that way so I knew it would be comfortable with the rest of my work gear. However, I got the lilac (light purple) coat, and I just think it’s too pretty to ruin on outside labor. It was worth the price & I hope it is as durable as the pants I also purchase here.

Fits great, long in the back so my butt is nicely covered if I sit down on something wet. Good pockets.

A lightweight jacket for warmer weather. I haven't had the opportunity to test out the ability to keep you dry in wet weather but the jacket is well made with the quality you would expect from carhartt. Looking forward to many seasons with this well fitting jacket.

This is my second rain jacket like this. It is a great jacket and true to size. It's very comfortable and fabric is the best.

Super nice fit very good looking but it sun shirt high recommend I use it for all my outdoor activities. I have an 8 acre mowing and is great for keeping me cool and the sun off my skin. I purchased 2 !

This has quickly become my favorite rain jacket! The fit is great and it actually keeps me dry when I'm walking my dogs. I would highly recommend this rain jacket.

Purchased this for reliable protection during dog walkie duty. Has held up well so far. Perfect weight for spring and summer. Fits true to size and the added coverage in back was a real selling point/feature. Hood is adjustable and generous - no pulling up at the neck & shoulders. Several good pockets with thoughtfully placed flaps. Chose the teal just in case doggo decides it's time for a dance in the rain (and mud) - it happens with an energetic 10 month old Belgian Sheepdog. Makes those walks in the rain a lot more tolerable - the pupper needs his walkies no matter what the weather. Priced fairly.
