Nice product that keeps out the breeze and keeps legs fairly warm. I ordered my usual size and it fits fine if you don't want to layer up. I would like to have more room in waist for heavier shirt or more layers. I don't think a heavy shirt tucked in and a set of thermals on my legs for cold weather would work with the size I bought.By the way, the "coin" pocket is extremely deep and wide for coins. I couldn't reach the coins i put in. I actually fit US dollar bills unfolded into pocket.

These were seconds, but I'll be darned to find any imperfections when compared to firsts and they were $20/pair cheaper. I love the knit lining and the lighter canvas looks great and is very comfortable too. I'm pleased that Carhartt includes 7 belt loops. Reinforced where needed and the waist has a nice riveted fastener, not a button.
