Carhartt 103283 - Full Swing® Traditional Coat - Quilt Lined

I’m in Australia & first shopped at Dungarees in 2020 buying Carhartt bib overalls, later caterpillar clothing. The staff & service at Dungarees through their correspondence is excellent! I’d happily return for my 5th time buying with them in future! I took my time looking at these jackets, read the reviews before deciding to buy.Everyone was saying to buy down a smaller size which I found interesting. I’m 190 cm (6’3) 102 kilograms (225 lbs) - ( I was 118kg/265 lbs) so decided to buy the long & tall version of a factory second & new jacket in XL. When it arrived I was immediate impressed by the quality, comfort & warmth it would give me. I’m usually a XXL size in clothes, but realised that an XL would allow me to wear a layer or 2 under this jacket. Being impressed with my purchase from Dungarees, I didn’t hesitate to buy the same ( black & dark brown ) jackets again only this time in the regular fit, but in a Large size. When these arrived, they were perfect for my fat & now thinner body. Even though I’ve bought new & factory seconds ( I can’t find any flaws ) i still get complimented by people who see my jackets!

Perfect for those long arms! Roomy, which is perfect for working in! Your going to be able to slit wood, buck hay, etc without sleeves creeping up or shoulders being restricted!my sliders to improve my satisfaction on this form did not work, otherwise I would have raised the bar on all items

I bought this jacket to substitute for me very warm LL Bean winter parka, when I am outdoors doing chores, as the very nice looking Bean parka was getting dirty and it's difficult to clean. This Carhartt jacket is the typical extremely well made and built for rough duty. This jacket proved to be just as warm as the Bean parka and I find myself wearing it for more than just doing outdoors chores in winter. The gusseted back and elbows aid in increasing range of motion and help mitigate the stiffness of the jacket. The only shortcoming is that it isn't waterproof (for wearing when it is snowing), however it isn't built to be that. I have worn the jacket in single digit temperatures and it has kept me warm. Note that the pockets are not insulated - just the cotton fabric that the outer is made of. it's not an issue, however, as when it is that cold I wear gloves. The pockets are huge and great for carrying tools. I will echo what another review indicated, that the drawstring cords get grabbed by the velcro on the storm flap that runs the full length of the zipper. This happens pretty much constantly and can be remedied by placing the cord ends within the interior storage pockets. As with several Carhartt garments that I own I purchased this jacket at a 'second's' 1/3 off discount. As with other 'second's' garments, I could not find any flaw anywhere on the jacket. Carhartt's quality control is extremely strict and in addition to the jacket being nearly indestructible, it was an incredible value at just $99.

Love everything about this coat, the pockets are good sized, easily able to move around thanks to gussets and articulated areas, plenty warm for Wisconsin winters, only complaint is the drawstrings to bring the coat in get caught in the Velcro storm flap.

true to size for me. appears to be very well made, not much bulk but warm. I wish it came with a hood attached. I like the pockets and the full swing feature is really nice. You can move in this jacket.

Heavy duty and rugged but looks sharp. Warm but even better with a lightweight sweatshirt under as a liner.
