Seems hich quality. I had to send my xl tall back because it was huge. I'm 6'2" 220 and would need a large tall. You would have to be at least 6'4 250 for an xl tall.

Carhartt flannel shirts are the greatest. Sturdy, heavy flannel well finished and require very little or no ironing after washing.
The Carhartt folks have got it down and have risen above all other flannel brands.

There are different flannel fabrics. The purchase shirt does not have fleece like hairy flannel that can be warmer.

I have purchased several of this shirt over the last there years. Here are my thoughts:
Pro's: Material is not too thin or too thick - it's the perfect weight for a flannel shirt. The construction is very sound. Plenty of room in shoulders and upper arms. Very good looking shirt as well.
Con's: Like many of today's shirts, there's way too much material in the stomach area {but not as bad as most other shirts on the market}. Could easily loose a few inches there. Also, compared to the versions of this shirt I purchased just a couple years ago, the material has been "over softened". Remember who your customer is Carhartt: I'm not looking for something to wear after a bubble bath, but something to wear to do battle with 2x4's, nails, thorns when working out in the woods, etc.
Overall I like these shirts and will continue to buy them provided they do not change them.
