Carhartt 101691 - Full Swing® Sandstone Active Jac - Sherpa Lined

I purchased this coat because I will be working in an agriculture position in the northern part of the US. With harsh winters and an occupation that takes place half the time outdoors I wanted a coat that was durable, heavy, and did not restrict my arms. The full swing feature is extremely nice, my broad shoulders have often been cramped in coats. With this coat, that is not the case, I can work very easily in it. However, I do have a few minor complaints. The biggest one would be if I were to reach above my head, like with all other coats this one gets pulled up exposing my stomach and back. A suggestion to fix this would be to extend the gusset around under the arm to allow for this movement. Other than that, there are a few mistakes in the sewing lines; some stray threads, and a clump of knotted up thread in the triple stitching on one of the zipper sides . This is nothing but visual imperfections though. All in all, if someone were looking for a coat that lets you reach for things while you work, this coat will not disappoint.

I've owned a Carhartt jacket for three years while I was in college. To say that I've grown with that jacket is an understatement. It's been there, rain or shine, mud or snow, sand or sleet. I've always been confident and comfortable in all climates. Today I saw the Full Swing line at my local Work'n'Gear and they had one in my size (XL-tall). It was a match made in heaven from the moment I slipped it on. The first thing you notice is how freely your arms can move. Then you notice how comfy the lining is against the back of your neck. These are all luxuries atop the baseline of a duck canvas shell. You simply cannot beat the quality of Carhartt jackets. As a structures engineer who works in a large shipyard, I recommend the Carhartt Full Swing Sandstone jacket.

I bought this Jacket because I like how it allows you to move with ease and not be restricted. I'm 5'7" and 210lbs. I got an XL so I could wear a hoodie under it. It's still got room left over when I put it on with my hoodie! The only adjustment I made was that I waterproofed it. This has had zero effect on the material. So I recommend that if you buy this you do the same. the Sandstone material is not water repellent. All in all, great buy, great fit and I support Everything Carhartt makes.

I purchased this jacket to replace my old carhartt jacket (style #C55) because I've grown horizontally since I purchased it 5 years ago. This jacket has everything I wanted! It's didn't feel as heavy and bulky as my old coat, and i was concerned it wasn't going to be as warm, but after a few minutes wearing it inside I started to sweat so the warmth is definitely there. The jacket has a great range of movement side to side and also in the arms reaching and rotating around. The two front pockets are lined with fleece and the hood is a great size and shape. My biggest concern was sizing since they're weren't many reviews to go off of. I stand 5'10, 205 lbs, 36x30 pants, i ordered an XL so i could layer up since i spend 10-12 hours outside in the elements. The size is great! Slightly roomy with a just a t-shirt on, fits great with a heavy hooded sweatshirt on underneath. The movement is great even with layers. The cut of of this jacket reminds me of a bomber jacket, sittings at the waist line as opposed to below it like my old jacket, the XL have me a little more length the the L which is what i wanted. This is one of the most comfortable work coats I've ever owned!

I recently purchased the full swing jacket and i love the comfort and durability of this coat! Lives up to Carhartt standards! Would definitely suggest it to others in the work force looking for a flexible nice fitting work coat!
