The size is perfect for using when we go to the water park or hike, or biking for the day. The backpack also stand up to the use that those activities demand.

I am a high school student and I had been through a number of brands and types of schoolbags before I purchased from Carhartt. The bag is Spacious enough for multiple textbooks, folders, calculators, pens, pencils, and other assorted school supplies. I have had the backpack for over two and a half years and it still holds true. the Material is extremely durable, and even the zippers work like new (which is a huge problem with other bags). the only part of the bag that has not held together completely is the rubber/plastic coating on the bottom of the bag. It has chipped slightly but does not affect the performance of the bag in my circumstances. Also the logo on the front of the bag has frayed slightly, but in my opinion gives the bag a tough, weathered look. All around a great buy, would recommend.

I travel multiple times a week with this backpack and love it's space. Only complaint is the padded laptop pocket torn within 2 weeks of having it. Otherwise, a great bag.
