Quite simply, these pants are not very waterproof. My upper legs get soaked within 10 minutes of being in the rain. They also started to come apart at the seams and at the crotch. I just threw mine out and I haven't even used them a dozen times. I'm usually very satisfied with Carhartt products and am surprised that they would sell something that doesn't work. I would not recommend purchasing these rain pants.

Great product

I've owned a pair of these pants for about four years. I use them heavly during the winter at work. I'm a heavy equipment mechanic for a power utility company. I end up working in some terrible weather conditions on a regular basis. These pants have held up GREAT. They keep me bone dry and warm (I just wear long johns under them) and I have never been uncomfortable. I just ordered another pair to use for hunting, fishing, etc.. I highly recommend this product for all sorts of outdoor activities. You won't be disappointed.
