The best work pants

I love these pants I’m up to 4 pairs now! All pairs are still fully functional and no damage. I work high voltage 500-1,000 DC every day so CAT2 is the minimum requirement. I love the stretch material, keeps the pants at the ankle and over the boot. The fabric feels breathable even on sunny days. Also this fabric is a lifetime fabric, hence the price tag, so as long as you clean them with hypoallergenic detergents and hang dry; the CAT2 rating will not deplete. The hang dry is a personal preference. I can’t speak enough about these pants! Oh light work on my knees and hands, knees are still good; no indication of wear around the knee cap. Light to medium accidental catches going around the corners of work benches and remarkably no tears.

I swear these are pajama pants. They are soft, flexible/stretchy, and very comfortable. I wear similar pants around the house. They're fine around the office, but the style of the material and the flaps on the few pockets do not lend well to outdoor working conditions.

I've been wearing a pair of these Ariat FR M7 pants for about four months, and overall, I really like them. They're lightweight, flexible, and hold up well against fading. Honestly, a nice touch. One feature that stands out is the extra fabric covering the wallet pockets, designed to keep your wallet or other items secure. While this is technically a benefit, it can be a bit inconvenient, (especially when my hands are oily, and I have to move the fabric flap to access my wallet.) So, depending on what your use situation may be, that feature may be a blessing or a curse.
Since I have a pair of the M4 Ripstop and M5 Ripstop, I might as well compare them and rank them for you all to have as a reference. All 3 are subjectively, equally flexible, breathable, and durable. It boils down to which aesthetics fit you best. The M7s are the most upscale. Think manager coming out to the field to get a progress update. The M5s are like the Lead Technician who carries around a couple tweakers and a pair of strippers. The M4s are for the junior tech who wants to be comfortable doing the brunt of the hard labor. And to be fair, the prices fit the job task.
