nice jacket.

From:  Age: 25-34 Gender: Male
This Jacket is everything Ihoped it would be. Great look, waterproof, warm, and as a bonus, there are snaps on the collar so that I can add a hood if I like. But $31 is a bit much to spend on a hood when the jacket cost $80. No problem, I’ll wear my hoodie underneath it.

Car salesman

From:  Age: 20-24 Gender: Male
I am a car salesman and I have worn out a lot of costs over the year getting in and out of cars. I wanted a heavy duty coat that the zipper wouldn’t wear out in a month and be warm and durable but needed to look semi professional this does all the above.

First Time Shopping at Carhartt

From:  Age: 20-24 Gender: Female
I was very pleased with the overall shopping experience. Carhartt carries a wide variety sizes and the product is durable and nice looking. I did have to return my first order for a different size and the return experience was tremendous. So very prompt with the new shipment and with crediting our account with the return jacket.

Solid, durable, surprisingly lightweight jacket

From:  Age: 25-34 Gender: Female
I've wanted this jacket for a while and finally got a chance to get one! So far it's stood up great against rain, wind, and cold, and it definitely feels substantial against the elements. The inside blanket lining is a little scratchier than I was expecting and not particularly soft right out of the box--it has a similar consistency to a moving blanket--but I haven't had any problems with it so far comfort-wise. This jacket's obviously built to last a while and to take a beating, too; I'm not concerned about wrecking it any time soon. There doesn't seem to be much extra padding on the jacket, but the cotton duck does a surprisingly good job of trapping heat. I was worried that it wouldn't be warm enough, but it's worked great so far at keeping me warm enough to be comfortable without being stifled. That being said, if you're going to be out in sub-freezing temperatures or for long periods of time in the cold you might want to go with a more padded jacket, like the sherpa-lined one (style #J141); this isn't a particularly heavy coat, and while it does great keeping me warm while I'm out and about, I don't know how warm I would be if I was outside all day in it without several layers on underneath. (There's also button snaps under the collar to add a detachable hood, which Carhartt also sells. I was originally going to go with another jacket because it had a hood and this didn't, but the detachable hood works great and ended up being a little cheaper overall; I'd recommend it.) The fit is generally true to size. I measured myself and ordered according to the sizing chart, and in the areas I measured it fit as expected. However, the overall cut of the jacket makes it look a little baggy in the chest and back, and if your shoulders are narrower or your arms aren't very long then it'll be big in the upper body and sleeves. If you're looking for a more tailored-looking or close fitting jacket, maybe check out the sherpa-lined one or the active jac (style #J140). Overall, this is a great jacket. I'm very pleased that I got it, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good fall/winter jacket.

Perfect Jacket

From: Virginia Beach, VA Age: 55-64 Gender: Male
Light weight but good for the temperature down to the low 40's. For a form carpenter it's a perfect work jacket, short for a nail bag to hang. Sporty
