Great quality, deceptive sizing

Item is well-made and high quality. However, I purchased a size 16 youth and it swallowed me so I returned them and got a 12 youth which was too small. The sizing chart is not realistic unless you're a very tall person. I would've tried for a size 14 (which would probably turn out perfect) but I've spent enough on return shipping to pay for half of another pair - don't want to take the chance of them not fitting.
