Great product. Missing some features.

From: Prince Rupert,  Age: 25-34 Gender: Male
I just bought these pants and I think they are awesome but I give them 4 stars instead of 5 is because 1 no fly and 2 no belt loops. These pants almost had everything going for them but they seemed to drop the ball on two basic features that every pair of pants should. But they do keep you dry and they breathe overall good product.

TWO Thumbs Up

From:  Age: 45-54 Gender: Male
I wore these on a snow machine trip in AK. It was 25 below zero when took out and was traveling at about 40 miles per hour. No cold or wet got into these pants period.

Top of side zippers hurt, no fly, no side pockets.

From:  Age: 45-54 Gender: Male
I bought the pants because the bibs won't work the way I need them to (see my review of them under EXTREMES ZIP-TO-WAIST BIBERALL / ARCTIC QUILT LINED for an explanation. ) The full zip feature is a brilliant idea it makes life easer. I wish they would put it on the bibs, having said that.... I chose a size of pant way bigger then I wear so I could get the belt line higher up on my torso so as to prevent snow down the pant, then I use suspenders to hold them up. I were shorts under the pants so they need to be baggy for access & comfort. This is were the discomfort part comes in to play. The top of the zippers at the belt line have a tendency to dig into my sides, it is quite uncomfortable after just a few minutes of wearing them, I can only imagine how uncomfortable it would be if they were properly sized such that I could wear them around my waist. I think if they put a flap of material on the inside of beltline that would resolve that issue, other than that they're a pretty good pant. ALSO I need to go! but I can't as there is no fly. I have to drop my drawers to go. Please put a zipper in the front panel so I don't have to disrobe just to urinate. Side pockets as well. Please!

No Fly.....don't buy

From:  Age: 35-44 Gender: Male
I purchased these for work and recreation. I wore them ice fishing once and won't ever wear them again. They are awkward to put on and they don't have a fly so trying to relieve myself was an incredible pain. I'll never put these on again which is awful because I am a huge fan of Carhartt. This product is just unfortunately a fail. I'm writing this review because I found these again while shopping for a replacement for them and am shocked that Carhartt is still selling them.

Great for Wet Motorcycle Rides too

From: King of Prussia , Pa. Age: 45-54 Gender: Male
These are really nice . I haven't had a chance to check them out in the rain just yet , but I can tell that they are going to be just perfect for what I need them for . They are well manufactured . The only gripe I have is that I thought a size large was going to be too small . I am 6ft tall , and weigh 215 pounds . I do have skinny legs and my waist size is a 36" . The large is bigger than expected . The length is perfect for me ( may even be a little longer than expected to tell you the truth but it is better to have them longer than shorter ) . But I tried them on and there are these velcro adjustments on each side of pants at the waist . I pulled them as tight as it would let me but still feels like there is some extra room . ( and yes -- I did try them on over a pair of jeans - my carhartt work jeans ) . -- But still -- all in all , I think a size medium would be too small ) . But these will work . I bought them for those wet motorcycle rides . I do recommend .

Great choice for wet/cold weather!

From: McCall, ID Age: 25-34 Gender: Male
These pants work great as a waterproof layer and keep you warm too. I love the full length zipper on the legs. Typical great Carhartt quality and durability.

Best Rain Gear I have Ever Had

From: Portland, OR Age: 35-44 Gender: Male
I work all over the Pacific Northwest, and I purchased my pair of these rain pants 2 or 3 years ago. Now I can't speak for this new generation of waterproof breathable pant, but the pair I have has been put through rigorous 10+ hour beatings in the woods, rain, snow, and sometimes shine, and I have never been wet once other than a little ring around the boot line which can be solved with a gaiter. The rain gear does get a little heavier when wet, but thats a given for any wet material. As for windproof, I can attest that at 70 mph in the rain, you don't feel a thing. My only gripe with these pants is the elastic waist band. Carhartt, if you aren't going to make a bib version of these please put belt loops on the pants. Regretfully, I will have to get a new pair for the seams finally ripped on the inside at the knee on both legs. Again, Carhartt I believe you can remedy this problem by extending the double leg around the inside of the knee as a friction barier for the seam. In the end it was money well spent.

Well Made

From: West central Indiana Age: 45-54 Gender: Male
I was very pleased with the quality of this jacket and the pants as well. I bought them primarily to use when riding my motorcycle and have been caught in a couple downpours. They kept me completely dry no problem. I choked a little bit at the combined price of them, but they are very well made, work well, and I consider them worth the money.
