Carhartt 100597 - Trumbull Long Sleeve Plaid Shirt

I have been a customer for years and only recently figured out there was a relaxed fit (actually not as loose) as original fits. I can use slims, but they are harder to come by. Most other vendors use "relaxed fit" to define looser than standard, the opposite of Carhart. I think you need to clarify this more clearly, and highlight the designations more prominently in the descriptions. Perhaps with bold type. I love the clothes and service and tell all my friends about dungarees dot net.

I have several Carhartt shirts made of different fabrics, but I think the flannel ones may be my favorite. The weight of this flannel is perfect for layering, not too heavy and not too thin. Carhartt's shirts are well made and shrink very little during washing (if at all). The flannel stays soft wash after wash and the color doesn't fade.

I purchased this shirt for my dad for Christmas. He is a big guy and this is one of only a few places I could find his size- 2XL Tall. He loved it! Its lightweight flannel material is comfortable and a perfect fit. It has washed wonderfully and does not shrink. He wore it twice in the first week because he liked it so much! Wonderful product I would definitely recommend to others!

I ordered three of these Hubbard style flannel shirts. I am 6'4" and weigh 225lbs. I ordered the XL Tall. They fit perfectly. The sleeves are long and the body is full cut (roomy#. I like the button down collars, relaxed fit and the 5.5 oz fabric. The 5.5 oz is the perfect weight of fabric so you will not overheat during the day and the shirts are less bulky. If you want too, you can wear a thermal shirt underneath and a coat or jacket over the flannel shirt. Many times I have to remove my coat or jacket during the day. The flannel shirt and termal undershirt keeps me plenty warm. By the way - I washed all three shirts before I wore them. I washed them in cold water and tumble air dryed #no heat# for 20-30 minutes. The air dry does two very important things for flannel - it does not fully dry the shirts #remove when damp) and most importantly the shirts come out of the dryer with virtually no wrinkles. Immediately hang the shirts when you take them out of the dryer for the shirts to continue to dry at air temperature. There was absolutely no shrinkage. If you order your correct size and follow these washing/drying instructions, you should have no problems with shrinkage or wrinkles. They also held their colors very nicely.
