I ordered these boots through Danner customer service, I have to say the person was excellent to deal with! Very knowledgeable regarding sizing so the boots fit me well! These are my first Danners and I am very impressed with them so far. I bought a pair of Rain Forest and a pair of Super Rain Forest I feel they run slightly longer size wise then boots I have worn from other USA manufacturers.

Great Danner boots my husband’s been wearing for three decades now. I think it’s his 10th pair. The last pairs were resoled by Danner but they can’t be resoled anymore so we finally tossed out the last 3 pairs.
They hold up well even in salt water, the Vibram soles have a sure grip on slippery coastal rocks and 8 inch leather provides great ankle support. They’re very protective for someone who does a lot of outdoor work such as using chainsaws, splitting wood, or climbing thru dense brush, boulders or downed trees. Great to wear when using a ladder so your arches are protected.
They run a little narrow so he gets the wide version. Extremely comfortable and waterproof.

Boots fit really well. I normally wear an 11D, but ordered the 11EE due to other posts stating these boots are narrow (which I've noticed lately with Danner boots). Finish is great.
I did change out the partial plastic arch support with a higher quality full sole arch support. I noticed with the half plastic support that the material forward of the arch started to bunch up a little after walking for an hour or so. Other than that I've worn the boots straight out of the box for hours and never had an issue with their break in.
One thing, is they do have a hard sole which translates into a noticeable noise on a tile or other hard surface. I'd like to see an option for a softer sole. I'm hoping they're decent in the snow due to the hard sole, but I haven't had a chance to try that out yet.

I am a tree worker, and it seems like I wear through boots fast. That being the normal quarry’s.
These are my first pair of rain forest and it’s only been a month. But coming into winter weather these feel like a slippers. I love them
They are definitely different leather and these ones seem way better quality.
It will be hard to turn these down next year and not to refer them to my co workers! Thanks! They fit great!
