Hands down the best work boot I’ve ever owned. Very good looking boot with the utmost in quality right down to perfect stitching. Took a few days to break in, but in my opinion, if your boot doesn’t require breaking in, you ain’t holding much. Solid thick leather and triple stitched. I always got aggravated at waterproof lace up boots that the tongue gusset on came a short way up the boot. These are not that way, tongue gusset is all the way at the top, and gore-Tex is the only way to go for waterproofing. My job is pretty rough on boots and if I can get a pair to last 6 months, I’m doing good. So far these are far outpacing that. I only have two complaints about the boot and they’re just personal preference. I wish they were offered in brown as well because a black boot in the summertime will smoke your feet. And the other gripe is the vibram sole is too hard. So hard that it actually makes the boot slick on hard surfaces like asphalt. And it sounds like a dress shoe walking down the road with the hard clicking of the sole. But those are just personal preferences and I will continue to get these from now on when they finally wear out.

Love them. I'm a wide. I found that out after I bought the regulars, so I shipped them back. I'll use these for home improvement work around the house and for motorcycle riding. The lining will keep my tootsies dry but they'll be rather HOT. Gonna need thinner socks. No worries.

Well crafted, although a bit slow to break in compared to other Danner models I've had in the past. This is to be expected since the leather seems to be much thicker and of higher quality. Mostly have been wearing around the office and for errands, I think what they really need is a good thrashing in the woods (land surveyor) to really get them broken in. Sole is slippery on ice, more so than other models. Cant yet attest to waterproofness as i received them in the winter and spring in Maine requires rubber boots!
