It's a bit wider around the hips than I anticipated but a size smaller is too tight in the shoulder and chest but all in all, it's a great jacket.

Great heavy duty jacket!

Highly recommend this jacket. Plenty heavy for north Texas winters, and definitely will stand up to livestock and farm work. I agree with other customers that zipping it up can initially challenging. Had to get help from the husband once or twice, but I got the hang of it and now it isn't a problem. I know this jacket will last, love the looser fit - easy to move and work.

Great except for the zipper

I love this jacket! It is not bulky compared to a barn coat that I have had for years. There is freedom of movement, so it's very comfortable. However, I do not understand why Carhartt continues to put terrible zippers on their jackets. This jacket is no different. My husband has many Carhartt jackets too and he has the same complaint. We've even tried to find a seamstress to replace the zippers. These tough coats need a bigger and more substantial zipper. It literally takes me a ridiculous amount of time and energy to get the zipper started.
